Montessori Schools
Montessori schools are popular with families across Grand Cayman, with three schools right in the South Sound area, and more across Grand Cayman. The ones located in South Sound are as follows:
Montessori del Sol offers a beautifully appointed campus where children aged 18 months to six years flourish through self-directed learning. Blended grade campus
A number of schools in Cayman offer mixed campuses for middle school and highschool, while some offer grades K-12. Below are the schools located in South Sound that have multi grade facilities all within the same location. To note, Cayman’s schools follow either the U.S. or British education system so you will find differences in the number of grade years offered. For example, some highschools may end in year 11 rather than year 12, or middle schools may end in year seven rather than eight.
First Baptist
First Baptist offers programs for preschool, elementary and middle school education (up to Grade eight) and uses an American curriculum to back a focus on Christian teaching, strong relationships, and a caring, nurturing environment.
Triple C
Established in 1941, Triple C School follows American curriculum for grades kindergarten through grade 12. Accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), it allows students to take Advanced Placement courses and the SATs in grade 12.
St Ignatius Catholic

Cayman Prep High School
